English.investasimu.com. Established on 26 January 2007, PT Atlas Resources Tbk (ARII.JK) is one of the coal mining companies in Indonesia. During the first ten years of its business, the Company had experienced rapid business growth through acquisition, exploration, and development with an initial focus on small-scale regional coal mining areas.
Since its first operation, the Company has been involved in a number of project developments, including exploration and production projects through PT Diva Kencana Borneo (DKB) which produces high-calorie coal and metallurgical coal. The Company also expanded its mining assets by acquiring PT Hanson Energy in the Oku Hub, Gorby Group, known as the Mutara Project (formerly Muba), and PT Optima Persada Energi (OPE), which owns six mining concessions. In addition, the Company also has several subsidiaries engaged in logistics services.
Through these strategic steps, the Company has expanded its coal production in more than 200,000 Ha concessions and was coordinated through six hubs: Mutara Hub, Kukar Hub, Berau Hub, Kubar Hub, Oku Hub, and Papua Hub.
Through its subsidiary, PT Hanson Energy, the Company has entered into a long-term contract (20 years) with a Government-owned electricity company, PT PLN to supply coal to several coal-power plants.
